After 25 years, Ash Ketchum has finally become the world's greatest Pokémon trainer
After twenty-five years, the legendary trainer from the iconic Pokémon anime series, Ash Ketchum, has finally won the Pokémon World Championship. I know, right? Who thought Ash Ketchum would get this far?
In the latest episode of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys (episode 1212), Ash Ketchum and Pikachu triumphed over Leon at the Masters Eight Tournament of the Pokémon World Coronation Series. The legendary trainer took down Leon by beating his Charizard in a one-on-one battle and finally achieved his lifelong goal of being the world's greatest Pokémon trainer.
Since 1997, Ash Ketchum has traveled wide and far, catching all sorts of Pokémon and beating Gyms in the process, but he's never come close to winning the Pokémon World Championship. I guess that's changed now. Well done, Ash!
