Highly Ambitious But Misses The Mark…Spark Era: Echoes of Universe
Crypto. I have to start this review off by just saying crypto. You have to go to the website to purchase your first ship; but you can still play the game with a stand in ship of sorts. Now let’s get into the gameplay. The gameplay of SparkEra is actually unique in concept and a good idea for fans of sci if action. The game is a 50 man space ship battle Royale in which you fly around a vast open space territory hunting down enemy ships. Along the way you can pick up a variety of different power up, boosters, and other resources as time winds down to give yourself the best chance to win the match.
For the most part the connection was fine and the gameplay was decent, nothing to write home about but I can see that if it had more money behind it, it could possibly have a niche community surrounding it..Either way, SparkEra goes down in a long list of good ideas ruined by crypto implementations.
Pros:
+ Gameplay is unique with Space Battler Battle Royale
+ Stable servers from what I played
+ Good for a match or two
Cons:
- Crypto implementation which purchasing ships from website
- Battlefield sometimes feels empty
- It was difficult locating enemies
- No enemy health bars
- No proper tutorial
