Hero of Aethric Review. Classical RPG is in Early Access now

Translate
Hero of Aethric is a classical RPG available on the Android and iOS mobile devices. In this game you will travel around the world, fight monsters, level up, get gear and even build your own town. This game have a lot of potential based on the available content from the Early Access and might end up one of the best games of the upcoming year.
Just as you enter the game menu you will be met with several menus that lead to the main game areas and modes. After checking them out you can press play and join the actual game.
Hero of Aethric Gameplay
It starts just as any other RPG. There are monsters, you have to fight them to save the world. As you will move to the first town you will meet some low level enemies and try your combat capabilities. Those will be very easy, just introducing you to the combat mechanics.
As you will get your first quest to slay 5 rats (so classic) and some sidequests you will start getting into the game. Taking out few enemies, getting first loot, level ups, skills. At some points you will have to start building your own village and join a kingdom (guild) with other players to achieve greater good.
Progression in early game is pretty fast, you can get lvl 25 required to join the guild and get first basic skills in an hour or two. Gameplay is pretty fun, enemies have magical and physical defense, so there are different build, strategies for each class.
The only drawback is that quest monsters can be pretty rare and it will take a lot of time to find and kill required amount of them to finish the quest. Yes goblins, I am looking at you.
Hero of Aethric Combat
Combat early on is pretty straightforward. Its turn-based, you can use your weapon attack or one of the equipped skills. Skills consume mana, that can be recovered with potions or level ups.
The main way to improve your combat capabilities is getting better equipment. You can get basic stuff in the town shop, but high rarity gear that have higher stats can be dropped by defeated enemies.
As mentioned before there are different type of enemies, so some will be more susceptible to physical damage, while others to magical one. Enemies also have their own skillset that might surprise you at some point. Overall it makes combat interesting and progression fun.
Moreover you can fight bosses, that are usually tougher than normal enemies, but their loot should be better.
Character
You have only one main character in Hero of Aethric. Your stat growth, skills and abilities and favorite weapons will be based on your class. There are a lot of different classes to go for, but at the start you can select one of 3: Warrior, Mage and Thief.
In order to upgrade your class you need to finish prerequisites for that. Usually its character level, but sometimes there are other requirements too. If you want to change to different class you can use special currency: Orns.
Overall it seems that class variety is pretty fun. It gives you options to switch class instead of starting a new character, which is nice too. Just keep in mind that with class change you will most likely will have to change your gear.
Conclusion
Hero of Aethric is a very promising mobile rpg, and its a pretty f2p one as well, which is very rare in those times. Even early access content is enough to get you busy for a long time and mechanics that might be added later on can make the game even better.
We hope that this Hero of Aethric review helped you to learn something new about the game or make up your mind about buying it. If you have your own thoughts on Hero of Aethric, let us know in the comments below.
