Sand - An Adventure Story : A Quick Game Review

Sand - An Adventure Story is a puzzle adventure mobile game where an archeologist/explorer goes to Giza to solve the mysteries of Pyramids. I loved how the game tried to connect the storyline with good puzzle gameplay. I found some puzzles easy while some puzzles were extremely hard to figure out.

As an explorer and archeologist, we set out on an adventure inside the pyramid looking for every single piece of clue that would help us get deeper in the structure and find its mysteries. As a lover of history myself, I really appreciated the cool ancient Egypt artworks of pharaoh and hieroglyphs. The artwork team has done a really good job in being intricate with the designs within the pyramid and its items.

I found the puzzles quite interesting as there were a lot of items to grab so that we can sort the subtle puzzles to get our way to the deeper sections of the pyramid. While you keep solving the puzzles, new areas get unlocked with more complicated puzzles in it. I was baffled by some puzzles out there in the game, which I thought was impossible to solve at first. The game tries to give away a bit of hint on what to do next but I think the hints provided are not enough to work out on the puzzle pieces. 

Overall, the story content is quite interesting in this game which is beautifully presented in a diary/journal/photography style to give a good vibe to the player. I found the background music to be quite soothing and quite tribal to Egyptian origins. I would have appreciated, if the game had provided animations or movie cutscenes or even voiceover to the character to make the game have more impact on the audience.
