Oldschool Point and Click adventure - Beyond the Edge of Owlsgard Review

Translate
I remember playing those adventure games back in the day when I was a kid and Beyond the Edge of Owlsgard seemed like a good pick to get that oldschool adventure itch. But for some reason it was so hard to progress in the game that I gave up pretty fast. But we will get to that in this article.
So the game starts with a great and fun although a bit too long intro introducing us a main character. And the thing is that after that we are on our own in our quest to find our parents.
There are several locations available when you start the game and you have bunch of the ways interacting with surroundings. Actually 9 ways of interacting plus you can use the items you have as well.
Since the game doesnt really show you what to do and doesnt gives you hints on what should you do next it might take a lot of time for you to realize the next steps in order to progress the story.
Your best bet would be trying everything you have available on everyone and everything you can see. Personally Ive managed to unlock one more area, create a torch with a lightbug and get a speaker from a funny fella. Main problem is none of those steps didnt help me to move even a tiny step closer to tracking my family.
Most of the time I was either reading dialogues that are funny, but doesnt help too much or trying to use items I have and different interaction options on everything I see in order to find a way to move on. Sadly in 3 hours it never happened and I decided to give up. Of course you can google the guide and follow it, but Im used to play games differently.
So while the game looks great and can be really fun I lack at least some hints on where to go and what to do. So far only mysteries around. But maybe I was unlucky and missed the right dialogue option somewhere or thing that I was supposed to click.
