Epic Battle Fantasy 5 RPG delivers a solid RPG experience with no pay to win features. The game has tons of different monsters you will encounter. With each monster battle feeling unique and fun. You start off exploring the vast world and interacting with other villagers. As you explore you will battle monsters, discover easter eggs to old classic games, and solve puzzles along the way. The battle system is a turn-based style with many different options for attacking. Aside from your traditional basic attack, you also have skills and tactics. The battlefield also has environmental effects as well that play a role in the battle. During a battle it can start to rain causing the characters to have the "wet" effect. When a character has this effect on them launching a thunder attack will yield huge damage on them.
The graphics are nice and colorful. My problem is while exploring the world everything tends to blend in making it hard to see important things. When I went to a new scene, I lost my character and had no idea where he was. I legit thought the game was bugged and my character disappeared. After 5 minutes I finally saw my character was in the top left screen. Everything is done in this like portrait looking/painting style. It's hard to find things of interest when exploring. The game also lacks any real explanation of your objective. There are some red arrows that kind of point you in the direction to explore but even they blend into the background. The cash shop is done in a very different way than most mobile games. The game special packs you can buy that unlock additional content. Think of the cash shop as a place to buy expansion packs. They also have a pack that can let you unable different cheats and change up your experience.
The battle system is the best, but the animations are slow, at times I wish there was a 2x battle speed up option. Some of the battles even earlier on felt like they took too long to complete. The game also has a ton of different options that allow you to turn off things like blood, mature content, cleavage, flashes etc. This makes the game adjustable for any age to play and enjoy the game. Overall, it is a solid RPG experience that is fun for the most part. The battle system can be confusing though because the game doesn't explain what skills or tactics do. All you see is a picture with no words.
