Overdrive Legends - THIS GAME CONFUSES ME!

Overdrive Legends is a top down action game that at first glace seems like a bright and colourful interesting game... However, it's not. Gameplay wise this game doesn't explain what to do, or give any tutorials.

You are just placed into the main menu and have to figure out. And thats all fine except that the game doesn't even let you know when you can advance to the next stage or anything of the sort. Honestly this game left me feeling very confused. You can move around using one of your thumbs and then select 3 skills from the menu below. And thats about it.

There are a lot of features that are locked and the game really doesn't let you know whats selectable and what isn't. Even after completing stage 0 many times, I can't seem to advance to the next stage. Nothing I do seems to work, and I find myself just repeating the same stage over and over which is just plain boring.  At this point in the game I had enough and gave up on it.

I can't see how this game can maintain a player base or be an enjoyable game when it's in this state. Visually this game isn't that bad however. It's bright, colourful and the characters remind me of retro polygon style characters. Shame that the gameplay isn't good at all.

Overall I'd say that Overdrive Legends is a game that doesn't give any tips on how to play the game, leaves you pressing things randomly to try and figure out whats going on, and ultimately will leave you frustrated and confused and not want to play the game. If you are looking for a new mobile game to play in 2023, then this is not the one for you.
