What’s It About?

Gameplay
FF Brave Exvius was developed and derived from its predecessor Brave Frontier. As with such a reputation, Its now in its 7th Anniversary since it began in 2016 and is constantly being updated with new characters and events (Monthly, Seasonal from Easter, Summer, Halloween, Autumn, Christmas, Chinese New Year, January Sales etc) and the community is active and healthy.
Friends can grant really powerful guest characters (think Tellah from FF4's beginning) that can really turn the tide of battle. The battles start out way too easy at first especially if you take advantage of the level-up events, but the burst leveling helps keep many characters in even ground and avoids the usual RPG grind for the most part. My only major gripe is how long it takes to load some battles in the field stages (the other type of battle is like an enemy/boss rush survival) where the player can roam around and explore dungeons like in the classic games (lots of secret treasures too). Especially with the high encounter rate, that load time can get annoying. But oh does this game keep me coming back.
So many of the series mainstays have gathered all together under the guise of being dimensional spirits that aid the main characters of the story: Everyone from Sarah and Warrior of Light from FF1 all the way to Noctis, Lightning and even Type-O characters from the newer games. Just about everyone is here and they all look so dang good together due to the excellent art and sprite direction. Every character oozes their known personality through their animations and attire. Perhaps the dungeon and town art are a little on the blurry side (as well as often visually glitched during some tile draws), but it all works well enough. But what really surprised on the presentation front is the now new classic soundtrack: rollicking battle bass... Check; thought provoking splendid string ballads in the dungeons... Check; an overworld theme march that has the user craving more of its adventures... Check... This is seriously one of the best from SE and one of the best mobile RPGs by a large margin. Every F2F can owes it to themselves to experience it.
