Toram was my first MMORPG and boy am I glad it was. I didn't have a pc when I was young, so all I played on was my phone so it was hard to find really good MMOs but there were still a few that got me hooked to them.
First and foremost, I loved and still love Toram online. It is very f2p friendly and there really aren't any reasons to buy from the online store unless you wanted to support them or really just wanted to whale your way(or free but gacha costumes). The customisation is very well-done, I could spend hours and hours just trying to decide on what I want. To top it all off, it has the unique skill tree system which offers a high amount of freedom. You want to be a swordsman that can cast magic? Just get the magic skill tree and the swords skill tree.
While I was enjoying Toram, the Devs decided to release another game—Alchemia Story. Sure the game moved for you, but its mechanics weren't ruined by the auto-path. Just like Toram, it featured freedom in skills(as long as you have been the class the skill was obtained from) and a cute customisation. The battles were turn-based and are similar to those action-card games on the stores(the skills were like cards that would be reshuffled into the deck once used).
Another game that got me hooked was Dragon Raja. It has tons of features for traveling the world, like running on walls and "flying" to other buildings. It didn't have the same freedom in skills like the former two, but it did have captivating classes. I liked the soul dancer the most, it was a healer but I loved stomping on damage-dealer players with it. It's also nice that although you can really whale your way through, f2p players like me could still rank in the top 100 on the servers.
