Untapped potential.

This game has a large list of problems and has had years to improve. Recently tried it out again and it has the same issues.
The first and biggest problem is the balance system. Weapons and armor level is based on player level. Every time when you level up, you have to upgrade your weapon and armor till you hit max level. The main problem is that this is relatively expensive, although there is a way around this and that is waiting till you level up multiple levels as leveling up multiple levels at once is far cheaper but still quite expensive. If you don’t level up your armor and weapons, you will get killed far faster and need to take far more shots to take out enemies. I continuously get 1-tapped when I need to hit enemies 5 times with the same 1-tap weapons. This is beyond unfair.
Another issue is the large amount of unskilled weapons.
The art style of this game however, and the actual items in thus game, is phenomenal and the music is still great, although the music is outsourced and copyrighted so not great for content creators.
Another major issue in this game is the fact that everything in this game is extremely expensive. While the balancing system does allow for you to make many weapons quite powerful, if you have the currency, the best weapons are locked behind even more expensive pay walls. To put the money issue into perspective, upgrading a Mythical weapon just two levels costs slightly less than 250 gems which is about $7. There are 65 levels in total. You can also upgrade a weapon’s rarity, kinda defeating the purpose of rarities, which increases the damage significantly. Upgrading from Legendary to Mythical costs 900-1200 gems (about $30-40). There are more than 1100 weapons in the game so you can see how expensive it gets. More items like vehicles are even more expensive to level up for minor stat changes. The main problem tends to be a “Pay for content and upgrades” system which for Western standards is considered relatively unethical, which this game does suffer from. What would solve this issue is a “Pay for Content” system where you pay for cool skins like in CODM. This however, from the developer’s standpoint is quite risky as the community is used to this business model now and thus it’s uncertain if this would work but I hope they’ll at least try something like this. Currently the developers are already adding more skins but these are once again very expensive.
A minor complaint I have are that many weapons are locked behind events which barely come back. This locks content up behind the idea of it being limited which, for skins, is totally fine but for actual items is quite unfair. The Pixel Pass (battle pass) is an example of this which locks content behind a  paywall.
Updates usually are also more or less the same (new Pixel Pass, new events (always the same but just with different weapons and rewards), a new map, a few balance changed and bug fixes and usually a few minor quality of life features). Updates become stale fast and there usually are between 1 and 2 actual big updates a year. I do got to give credit tho as the team isn’t that big but still, the updates for a game this size just aren’t great and often even the big updates aren’t focusing on the right things.
The game also has forced ads playing after some matches played which is a minor inconvenience but still worth mentioning as it is still annoying.
The last issue I want to discuss is the fact that the developers join in on many trends but don’t 1) finish the mode; 2) add anything unique to it. Many gamemodes are left abandoned or with minor changes and basic features lacking. For example, Battle Royale (watch any YT videos for reference) or Among Us. Their Red Light Green Light was one of the few, and tbh the only thing I can remember, modes that they did at least innovate for. Even Pixel Gun’s core modes and systems suffer these abandonments. An example is the old Siege system (version 13.0.0+) which was never finished. The ultimate items are still not added, 5 of 6 years later, with the entire mode almost abandoned. Even the last clan system isn’t even finished after 2, if not 3, years.
That being said, the game still has potential and used to be so good back in the day. We just need a rework of the balance system, clan system, monetary systems, gamemodes and LiveOps strategies. Esports and a Multiplayer ranked mode (with a centralized leaderboard and proper competitive rules also used in Esports) would also be a nice addition to the game, although the game is quite casual. This does require a proper spectating system but this could potentially bring new eyes to the game and revive its online relevancy (the game is still raking in many new players and is doing well, just on social, video and streaming platforms it has been dead for ages).
