This Puzzle Game Gives Each Player A Different Experience...

Bokura is in early access on steam for around 10 USD. The official launch is said to include an android and ios version with cross platform support. This is a mandatory 2 player puzzle game. You cannot play this by yourself. The good part is that only 1 of you need to actually buy the game. There is a free friend version also available on steam. The game is so much fun with a friend or family member. Communication is a big part of this game and an absolute must. each player controls 1 boy and must work together to solve puzzles in order to advance to the next area. The beginning is a bit slow with a lot of unnecessary dialogue. When you first start both players see everything the same. However, after finding a dead deer and mysteriously passing out, both boys awaken to find their perspectives are no longer the same.
One player will see the world through a machine view while the other will see the world through an animal view. The machine view is dark and gritty with the 2 boys appearing to be robots. The animal view is bright and colorful with each boy appearing to be a different animal, one a bear and the other a duck. Visually the animal view is way more appealing and looks better. The machine view has moments where things look to pixelated and difficult to visually understand what the objects are. The puzzles are extremely fun and challenging. Working together with your best friend or family member feels so reward and brings such a closeness between you too.
I highly recommend if you have someone to play with you try this game because you will not regret it. The audio is good with chill background music. The controls are easy to understand and not overly complicated. I just wish the machine world looked as good as the animal world did.
