Frösch - JUMP YOUR WAY To A High Score

Frösch is a game that I recently tried and while it is an incredibly simple game, I still managed to find a lot of enjoyment out of it. Gameplay wise, the controls are very simple and easy to get a hang of.

You must long press on the screen until you think you have enough power, then let go in order to let your frog jump as high as the power allows it. Once you do that, you must tap again as often as you like, in order to eat as many flies and glow bugs as you can.

The glow bugs will give extra points compared to the normal flies. But if you eat the grey bugs, you will lose points. And if you get hit by a bird, it is game over. Though you can get even more points if you narrowly dodge a bird from hitting you. And thats about it to the game.

While it sounds simple enough, the mechanics can feel a little difficult at times, especially when it comes to trying to eat as many bugs as possible, while avoiding the grey ones that lose you points. There is nothing else to take from the game however, that is all the game truly has to offer.

There is no cash shops or any type of monetization that I could see. Visually this plays like an old retro arcade style game, especially when you see that main menu screen. The music is also very retro sounding as well. This game definitely embraces the retro pixel art style and it does it well. Overall I'd say that Frösch is a game you can play when you are bored, or waiting for friends, or just wanting to kill some time. Its challenging enough for some fun times thats for sure.
