Mini Hi-Fi City PROS and CONS. Is it Good?

Mini Hi-Fi City is a Tower Defense mobile game. It have insane potential, but is it enough to be a good interesting and fun game?

In this article we will talk about both good and bad sides of Mini Hi-Fi City so you can decide if this is the right game for you.

PROS

1. Good graphics

Mini Hi-Fi City have very good 3d graphics, tower and enemy design looks interesting. Animations arent that bad either, so all the shots from the towers look futuristic. Although some variety would help.

2.  Promising gameplay

Overall if CONS will be fixed this game can be very good. It have all the required basics for it: Nice combat and interesting concept.

I just feel and can see what can be made of this if enough work and care will be applied.

CONS

1. Bad Game Balance

Enemies are too strong and towers are too weak. There are not that many things player can do make your towers stronger. And since there is no tower upgrades you just have to try over and over without any motivation like story, making your towers bigger or curiosity.

2. Lack of progression

This is very important. Between the runs you cannot upgrade anything, that by itself already kills the motivation to go through the levels. During the run you can just buy and combine chips, so you cant really upgrade your income, your towers. Only merge chips together to make them stronger and hope for a lucky draw

3. UI needs improvement

Overall its not that bad, but the fact that when you select chip its not highlighted or anything and you can accidentally merge is with another one is bad. When you pause the game there is no indication that the game is paused. When you press menu button you will be moved to main menu without confirmation as well. Just some basic things that are missing. Even some basic description on the chips is missing, so players have to guess what this specific chip does and how merging works.

4. Game mechanics

Game seems very repetitive. When above points are fixed introducing special enemies, special tower upgrades and other things that will allow player to strategize will be good. Right now its either try to merge right chips or just slap them together to the max level.

Verdict. Is Mini Hi-Fi City Good?

No.

In a current state game is bland and boring. But if bugs will be fixed and progression mechanics, along with campaign will be added, then it will be really good game, I can feel it.
