A beautiful action RPG that reminds me of Dauntless and the Monster Hunter franchise in the best way

After avoiding spoilers and even going as far as not playing the game during its testing phases because I wanted to enjoy it in its full glory, I’m ecstatic that Yeager: Hunter Legend has officially arrived—and oh golly, after playing for nearly two hours, it definitely lives up to the hype. Yeager: Hunter Legend is a beautiful action RPG that features a compelling narrative and some of the best voice acting and music I’ve seen in a mobile game. The game reminds me of the Monster Hunter franchise, as well as Dauntless in the best way possible.
Yeager: Hunter Legend’s story follows a rookie that slowly ranks up as a monster slayer and uncovers mysteries within a world full of danger. In this adventure, I got complete all sorts of quests that tied in with this story and learn more about the world within Yeager.
My favorite part of it, though, was slaying all the different kinds of monsters that I came across—and there were so many of them too. Each monster had its own unique moves and I needed to adapt to different playstyles if I wanted to survive. If I managed to hit a monster in a certain area like the head or tail, it would drop materials for me to pick up, which I could use to create equipment to get stronger.
However, actually managing to chop off a tail or bonk a head long enough for that to happen wasn’t always easy. Defeating monsters was difficult, but not impossible. I needed a lot of focus and patience to beat one, and although that got me sweating and depleting most of my regenerative items, it was also pretty invigorating too. I loved that it was challenging, but only where it needed to be.
In saying so, Yeager: Hunter Legend might have great combat, but it isn’t perfect all the way through. The game does suffer a few performance issues that were a little annoying. I found the game to perform poorly on max settings, even on my strong Samsung Ultra S22. The animation and movement are a little delayed and jittery, while the sound and visuals sometimes cut off or disappear. That said, even with these performance issues, which’ll likely get fixed in a few patches, it shouldn’t dissuade anyone from enjoying Yeager: Hunter Legend. The game’s a solid monster-hunting action RPG that brings the best of Dauntless and the Monster Hunter franchise to mobile screens while adding its own twist on it.

everything you've said is true ... but the cutscenes and storytelling is actually longer than the combat action 👎🏽 and for what it's worth this is supposed to be an open world not limited to one straight path...

Unfortunately no EU server. So even under 5G only disconnections. A pity.
