Black Stella Ptolomea announced: Reviving the universe of In:Ferno

Black Stella, a property that saw a short-lived existence under the mobile RPG Black Stella In:Ferno back in 2022, is making a comeback. The new project, titled Black Stella Ptolomea, aims to exist in the same universe as its predecessor and revive the unique gameplay and moodier visuals that In:Ferno had offered.
In:Ferno was a mobile game released in 2022, but it saw little to no success and had to shut down after a few months. It was relaunched with a subtitle and support from a new developer, Cyberstep, but still didn't achieve much success. However, a sequel to the game was announced, and Ptolomea hopes to take the multiplayer tower defense-based gameplay of In:Ferno and enhance it to match up to other triple-A anime games.
Ptolomea's story is set 50 years in the future, where a giant crater has swallowed up part of Japan, and various creatures have begun to appear. Players will command a team of unique characters to battle them in a distinct edgy and darker style that makes Black Stella hard to miss. The game combines the traditionally single-player nature of tower defense games with multiplayer battles.
A closed beta test for Ptolomea will be held in early May, and interested players can find details on the official website. They can also follow the official Twitter account for other announcements.
