For claiming to be a sequel, this feels like this should have been the original version that the ones released long before it improved upon.
The class selection is much more limited than the previous Ragnarok titles, with only three to choose. Of those three, only one is a male character and each only has three eye selections rounding out the entire customization. Each class has two tracks and two weapons that become available later, but the weapon and track are not directly linked to each other.
Ragnarok has a very specific graphic style that includes small scale, while still managing to look crisp and clean. This one looks blocky and much like the scale was used as an excuse for lower resolution textures.
The controls are pretty standard, but felt a bit unresponsive. Without targeting an enemy or lining up a skill, it was extremely easy to end up launching into an attack that missed everyone entirely. Similarly, AoE skills appeared to hit anyone and everything without the animation giving any indication they were even close. This assumes the skill even responded to the click.
Ragnarok seems to see a lot of random games by various developers. You can expect some of them to be cheap knockoffs, but that is not what I expect from the original developer.
