Hello, commanders! It's great to meet you all here in the overseas version of TapTap for the first time. From now on, Metal Waltz will be available on the international edition of TapTap, and we'll regularly bring you official update previews. Commanders who love Metal Waltz, don't miss out!
In this update, we have an exciting new skin for the beloved Aurora SU-152G, which is highly popular among commanders in Metal Waltz. Rumor has it that when the artist Hare was designing this skin, the original concept was to have Aurora carrying a flower basket for flower picking. However, considering the summer season with its soaring temperatures, it was changed to Aurora enjoying an ice cream instead.
Let me give you a little background on the SU-152G. It's an experimental 152mm self-propelled howitzer from the Soviet Union. Developed by the Ural company, the chief designer of the chassis was L.I. Golietskiy. The SU-152G was designed to suppress and destroy enemy firing points, engage enemy tanks and self-propelled artillery, demolish field fortifications, and counter artillery operations. The first prototype vehicle completed factory tests in 1948 and was handed over to military representatives on June 16, 1948. After testing and improvements, the SU-152G passed state trials in 1950 and was adopted by the Soviet Armed Forces alongside other self-propelled artillery. However, in 1955, changes in Soviet leadership led to the interruption of most self-propelled artillery projects, and as a result, the SU-152G never entered mass production.
In the game, Aurora belongs to the Moscow Border Guard Squad. Due to her unique physique, she can only carry the core of the 152mm cannon. Although a bit shy, she possesses strong combat abilities and is greatly loved by commanders. So, commanders, get ready to experience the new skin for Aurora SU-152G and continue your Metal Waltz adventures!
