The Lion Reborn - Löwe Heavy Tank

Translate
Hello Commanders, we are back this weekend to reintroduce the German Löwe heavy tank.
The Löwe tank is no stranger to military enthusiasts familiar with World War II, commonly known as the "Tank No. 7". It was a heavy tank proposal submitted by Krupp in 1942 to compete for military funding against Porsche's Maus tank. The proposal included the front-turreted Leichte Löwe, commonly known as the "Light Lion," and the rear-turreted Schwere Löwe, or "Heavy Lion." The "Failed Lion," derived from the Heavy Lion, made its debut in the game in 2018. Of course, after its introduction, it demonstrated its absolute mediocrity in a very short time, truly living up to its name of "Failed Lion"!
Today, we are introducing the "Light Lion." Compared to its twin sister, the Light Lion may fare slightly better in the game. Although Austria's failed art student(Oh,that's the name for some famous person with a mustache) had a unique aesthetic standard for tanks, much like the Tang Dynasty's preference for voluptuous women, commanders familiar with the game rules know how important the placement of the turret on the chassis is. The forward turret's hull has the crucial "Anti-Ambush" ability, which is essential for heavy tanks responsible for absorbing team damage. Additionally, what intrigues the editor is the conflicting development paths of the Light Lion's performance indicators according to different sources.
On most websites, the initial armor thickness of the Light Lion is believed to be 100mm, which was gradually increased to 140mm due to dissatisfaction from the art student. However, according to the detailed information provided by a military blogger Belfast Rhapsody, the initial armor thickness of the Light Lion was 140mm, but due to the 90-ton weight significantly exceeding the planned vehicle weight, it was reduced to 100mm. In any case, the armor thickness fluctuated within this range.
In terms of weaponry, the Light Lion's documentation mentions the possibility of being equipped with a 105mm gun with a 70-caliber length. Later, even 128mm and 150mm guns were considered. However, for shield tanks, range and ammunition properties may be more important than caliber size, so the 105mm gun is more than sufficient.
Although the Light Lion, as a WWII-era heavy tank, may be considered late to the game at the current stage,
Belfast狂想曲’s data reveals some obscure new equipment for the Light Lion. If these upgrades can be acquired through skins in the future, the Light Lion's power will be further enhanced.
