Heroes Arise - An UPCOMING MOBA in BETA ACCESS!

Translate
Heroes Arise is an upcoming MOBA game that is running in open beta from June 1st until June 30th and while I am not a fan of MOBA games, this one has
some pretty good things I like about it. Gameplay wise during the beta there was
only one map that I could play on as far as I could tell, and if you’ve played any MOBA in your life, you will be familiar with how it works. You have two teams of 5 and you must basically take down the enemy oppositions base. In order to do so you must take down their towers in one of their lanes in order to reach the heart of their base.
There are three lanes you can go down, as well as the jungle. The character you pick will usually have a specialization for one of the lanes or the jungle, and in most MOBA games you are expected to know where to go. Thankfully in Heroes Arise, the heroes you choose tell you which lane or jungle they are suited for. Now, forgive me if the explanation for MOBA games is maybe not the best? I am not a MOBA pro and like I said, I’m not a fan of these games in general. When you start up the game to play, you will experience two ranked matches against bots. It’s the third match that will put you up with other players. And oh boy, it won’t take long to get some toxicity in the chat, just like most MOBA games are famous for.
The first match I played with other players did not go well, and this was a novice rank match, so you can expect people to be learning the ropes and so on. But already there was a player in the chat, complaining how bad the team was and that they were all bad. This is why I don’t like MOBA games. Anyway, the combat in the game is very familiar too, you have your main attack skill and 3 special skills that you can use, you buy upgrades that pop up on the top right and you can portal back to your base to replenish your HP. All very familiar ground. The heroes that I saw, all had fantastic artwork, but I couldn’t find a way to preview their 3D in game form in the hero menu.
All of them are varied in their art style and design, but I did see a few heroes that looked like I had seen them in other games before. The voice acting was varied, with the in-game characters sounding very good, but the narrator voice acting wasn’t exactly the best I’ve ever heard. But every other voice I had heard in the game was clear and sounded very good to me. Visually the graphics are bright and cartoony and looks like every other mobile MOBA game that I have played. It’s all very familiar ground and if you like that MOBA aesthetic then I’m sure you will be comfortable with the visuals of this game as well when playing it.
Overall, I’d say that Heroes Arise is up there with the other mobile MOBA games already on the market, though I don’t see anything new to keep it different or set it apart from the rest. The graphics are the same, the voice acting in the game is for the most part also familiar, and while the heroes were varied, there were some that obviously were heavily influenced by heroes from other MOBA games or even other game characters entirely.
There was one that reminded me of Lara Croft for example. If you love MOBA games you might be interested in trying out this game, but I don’t think you will find anything you haven’t seen before, if you’re new to MOBA games, it’s pretty much just like the rest, including the toxic behavior. As for me, I will not be continuing this game since I am not a fan of MOBA games or the toxic attitudes that come along with it.
