Meet the man who created I See You, a narrative thriller about a blind man

Translate
I See You is a RE-inspired narrative thriller about a blind man's journey to find out what happened to his missing girlfriend.
Surrounded by darkness with no one else, can you escape from the house and find your beloved girlfriend?
TapTap: What was the motivation or source of inspiration for creating this game?
My girlfriend is one of the main inspirations for this game. Last October, she was diagnosed with severe retinal holes through a regular eye examination. We were told that she could probably lose her sight if she didn't do eye surgery immediately. She went through several surgeries over the next couple of months. After every surgery,  She couldn't see with her eyes so I went back from France to take care of her. Luckily she made a remarkable recovery and now she just had myopia. During that time, I learned how different a blind person's life is, so I came up with the idea to make a game about the life of a blind man and I want to bring some attention to this group of people that live around us.
TapTap: Blindness, sound, and mystery are the key elements of the game. Do you have any recommendations for games, movies, drama, or books for your players to experience as well?
There are a lot of movies talking about blind people such as "Dancer in the Dark", "The Birdbox" and "Don't Breathe". Some of these movies don't necessarily talk about blind people but rather people who can not see.
TapTap: Please share some thoughts or concepts on the game's art and design aspects. This can include the idea of visual assets, character designs, and level layouts.
The game's art is quite straightforward. It's mostly dark as it is from the perspective of a blind person. I made the character black and white in order to enhance the fact that he is blind.
TapTap: What about sound design and music in the game?
The sound design in this game is pretty basic. I tried to make every interaction in the game make a sound. For blind people, sound is probably the only major way to recognize the environment. In order to enhance this idea, I made the sound 'visible' by creating a 'ring of sound' around the object that is making noise.
TapTap: Please share with us the development progress and the expected timeline of the game. Also, any goals the development team aims to achieve in the next development phase?
The game is still in development, right now we only have the first chapter available, the full version will have all six chapters. In the full release, players will have more guns and more customization of the guns. They will also get a lot of powerful equipment to help them survive in the dark.
TapTap: What kind of feedback would you like to hear that could make the current game better?
I would love to hear all kinds of feedback including the gameplay, bug, and stories. All opinions are welcome.

This game's backstory is incredibly touching. To think that the creator was inspired by his girlfriend's near-blindness. It's a unique perspective to bring into a game and I'm very excited to see how it unfolds!
