Laid Back Camp All in One - A Super ADORABLE ANIME Camping Game

Laid Back Camp All in One is an interesting camping experience game that has recently released for the global region. With it's chibi aesthetic that I shouldn't like since I'm not that interested in chibi art styles, this one just passes and I was able to find it cute in general.
The gameplay is where things were pretty interesting for me. At first glance I was confused as to what I was meant to do when I went camping. But the more I played, the more I recognised this gameplay template. If you have played a certain game called Uma Musume Pretty Derby, you might be very familiar with this gameplay template.
You will go and take your girls out on a camping expedition with 4 goals at the end of each camping stage. Your clothes and support cards will add to your overall score and each stat will begin with an F rank. Each camping session will have you try to focus on 3 stats and you must do activities that will try to boost those 3 stats more than the others, in order to get those stats the highest rank you can before the end of that camping session without expending your stamina. You can rest to boost your stamina, which will cost you a day.
But then you can do more camping tasks to boost the stats more. After the camping trip ends, you will then take those upgraded stats and all boosters you could purchase, and the event will begin. And if you did good, you will get a good rank at the end and get more rewards.
This is very similar to how Uma Musume works too, you would pick a race, and then you would train your horse girl in the stats that benefitted her the most in a certain amount of days for training. You can rest to recover your stamina as well.
At the end of the training session you would send her out for her race and if you trained her well enough, she would do well in the race and get a good ranking. It's an interesting gameplay mechanic and I found it pretty amusing to find this similar gameplay in this cute little camping game.
Once you complete all your camping challenges you would also get blue prints which you could use to craft more camping furniture that can be placed in your main screen camping grounds. The game is full of cut scenes too that seem to be mostly voice acted in Japanese. They are super cute and enjoyable to watch. There was plenty of moments where I had some decent laughs.
I heard this is based on an anime series apparently, but I have not seen it, so I cannot say if it follows the anime series or not. I might have to watch it though. The anime is called Yuru camp if you're interested in checking it out yourself. I know I will be.
The visuals on this game have me conflicted as I'm not a big fan of chibi art styles, but I feel like this game is on the line between chibi and not, While it does have that chibi theme to it, it's not that bad. I've seen way worse chibi styles and thankfully this one doesn't go full chibi. So if you're not a fan of Chibi anime games, you may still want to check it out, cause it's not quite there on the chibi scale.
The camping grounds are gorgeous and I was very impressed with how scenic it looked. The game mixes a lot of 3D animated cut scenes with Anime style 2D art work, which I don't know if it's from the anime, or made for the game. Overall I'd say that Laid Back Camp All in One is a pretty fun game with a pretty interesting camping game play mechanic.
There's a lot to do in this game and it's pretty fun. The only thing that really annoyed me was the connection issues I kept having, either the game wouldn't load the next scenes and would disconnect me or I had to close the game and restart it in order to progress due to the connection issues.
This happened throughout my entire playthrough and was very inconvenient. Hopefully they fix that quickly. But, other than that I really enjoyed my time in this game, You should definitely give it a try.
