Night of the Full Moon Devlog | When dark fairy tale meets roguelike deckbuilder

Hello everyone, I am Hengcheng, the producer of Night of the Full Moon. It's really nice to "meet" TapTap players for the first time. We also have our official Facebook and Discord community, and we welcome all card game masters to join us in exploring the Black Forest in Night of the Full Moon!
We have just released a brand new update, in which we introduce the Mirror Mode and Wishing Mode. We hope that you can all enjoy the new version and please feel free to leave your reviews and feedback!
If you've played Night of the Full Moon before, you must have a deep impression of the game's art style. When we were young, we must have read some fairy tales. As we grew up, we might have forgotten them. We wanted to create a fairy tale world that would awaken players' memories and tell a completely different story. In the early stages of development, in order to leave a lasting impression on players with the art style, we not only highlighted the unique hand-drawn visuals, but also wanted to empower the characters with emotions, allowing them to portray good and evil. For example, the classic characters like Little Red Riding Hood, the Big Bad Wolf, and the Hunter went through several iterations. Eventually, we settled on a Little Red Riding Hood that would make people feel her warmth and courage. The Big Bad Wolf had a more tragic tone, while the Hunter had a non-traditional, slightly mischievous vibe.
As for why we chose to develop a card game, it's because we, members of Dida Studio, all have a great love for card games. At that time, we were hooked on Dream Quest, and we would compete with each other using all professions. We often got so absorbed in the game that we lost track of time. However, the developer of that game, Peter Whalen, had not updated the game for four years, and there were also some limitations in terms of gaming platforms. We wanted to create a game that iterates and upgrades the gameplay in terms of difficulty, storytelling, artwork, and new card designs to allow more players to experience the joy of this type of gameplay. So we started exploring a single-player deck-building game.
During the game design process, we drew inspiration mainly from Dream Quest, Card Crawl Adventure and Hearthstone. In November 2017, our development team had the honor of visiting Peter Whalen, the author of Dream Quest in Blizzard, USA. We were grateful to receive Peter's encouragement and support, and it opened up opportunities for further development of the game. Maou, the designer of Card Crawl Adventure, has now joined our development team.
To bring more fun to players, we have also tried various gameplay modes. For example, in this update, we introduced the Mirror Mode and Wishing Mode. Unlike the classic mode, Mirror Mode is a brand new single-player auto chess mode. Wishing Mode, on the other hand, requires you to recruit companions with different effects to form an adventure team and fight together. These are all aimed at creating a more liberated deck-building experience.
Ever since the initial release of Night of the Full Moon, it has been nearly 6 years, and its cumulative downloads worldwide have surpassed 25 million. However, we don't wanna stop there. This June, we launched a PvP online mode for a thousand-player test, receiving valuable feedback and recognition from the players. We are all greatly encouraged, and are actively preparing for the global release of the PvP mode. If all goes well, all our players are gonna be able to enjoy this mode in November! In addition to the PvP mode, we will also release an update at the end of September, featuring the Classic Edition, Memory in the Mirror, and Wishing Nights. The road ahead is long, but we will spare no effort to fulfill the expectations of our players.

Ive tried almost every single ayer Card builder game on Android store to date.. From every released, to early access, region locked and close beta copy via official Discord channel.. NONE poised me as much as NotFN All the class deck variation, bewitching mode, swift gesture which didn't happen in short development, to the multiple deck style of EACH class..hardly a thing for mobile standard. You guys hooked me up on a higher gaming standard which led me to a stricter gamers palette. Kudos for the excellent labor of love✨

Have played it before, and I quite enjoy the storyline of the black fairy tale genre. Each NPC has a relevant narrative, and it's evident that a lot of thought and effort has been put into it!
