Dave The Diver - Let's DIVE INTO THE DEEP And Make SUSHI!

Translate
Dave the Diver recently came out of Early Access and I had the pleasure of playing the 1.0 version of the game and I have to say, this is a very fun game. When you begin the game Dave is on vacation, but then is called by his friend Cobra to come check out this new sushi place.
But when Dave arrives, he finds out there is a catch. He must use his diving skills to catch all the fish in this unknown blue hole in the ocean. And not only that, he must also help run the sushi bar by being one of the workers and serving the customers. The story is an interesting one, and I like how they weave into the story that the blue hole is so mysterious that every day you dive in the layout and experiences will be different.
The gameplay is jam packed full of content too. As the days pass and you help out win the sushi bar, more and more quests become open to you. You will meet all kinds of people who will require you to help them. And they will install apps onto your phone, which serves as the in game menu. There are apps to craft weapons, to track all the fish you catch, as well as scientific research quests for a long lost sea people. It's all very interesting.
It doesn't end there either! When you go to the sushi bar section of the game, there is the serving of the food and drinks to the guests, filling out the menu with sushi items made from the fish you caught, and even decorating the bar. You even have to manually fill the tea of the customers and stop just at the right time. It's a lot of content to take in, that's for sure. I love how ambitious this game is, and the best part is that it all works. I never thought to myself that this was overwhelming. It all just meshed together very well.
The fishing in the game is an entirely other section of the game. Since the underwater part seems to be different every day, the diving experience can be quite unique. You can find different weapons and items to assist you while diving, these can be found from within chests you find. All the items you pick up from these chests cannot be brought back with you however. The weapons and items will be removed when you return to the boat.
Only your crafted weapons will stay with you. I found that aiming the harpoon gun can be a bit fidgety at times, but if you take your time with your shots, it's not so bad. I think the best part from the diving excursions was when I had to hunt down a shark for Bancho the chef. That was a fun experience. Visually the game is gorgeous.
Especially when diving underwater. The ocean looks so nice and the graphics overall are very good. The pixel art is highly detailed and I loved every moment of being underwater. The game in general is just very good looking. I have nothing bad to say about it. The Audio is fantastic too.
The soundtrack suits the diving environment perfectly. Actually the music suits every situation very well. I can see why they also sell the soundtrack on steam too. It's very nice to listen to. But it's not just the soundtrack that's good. Just the overall sound effects are fantastic. I love all the sounds you can hear underwater and above the water too. Everything just sounds great.
Overall I'd say that Dave The Diver is a great PC game to play. It's full of exploration and can get suspenseful at times. With it's gorgeous visuals and audio that's perfect for it's setting. I can't really find anything at fault with this game except for maybe the aiming was a bit annoying on controller. Other than that, I think that Dave The Diver is a fantastic gaming experience and I highly recommend it to everyone to play.

I can totally get into a well made diving and fishing game, but having to run a restaurant?? Not really into that, and it's off-putting to the point I'm not sure I'm going to be interested in this at all .
