Roto Force - FAST PACED 8BIT BULLET HELL MADNESS!

Translate
Roto Force is an interesting upcoming game, that I had the pleasure of trying out the demo for. Roto Force is a fantastic looking 8 bit game with unique visuals that  is a bullet hell shooter type game and it was pretty challenging and a fair amount of fun. I'm not a big bullet hell gamer personally, but I still found enjoyment in this game.
Gameplay wise you play as this little slug who joins the roto force internship and you sign a contract. I found the fact that you can actually sign the contract was pretty funny. I ended up doodling all over the contract, because I can. The game introduces you to the mechanics with a short tutorial, where you learn how to move, dash, shoot and even use their special launch mechanic that has you either tapping on the left hand side of your phone, or for timed dashes you can hold down on the left hand side which will let you aim your dash and also if you hold it down longer, you can slow down time to do a precise dash, or in some situations you can hold down the left hand side to do a power dash which can break through walls for example.
I found the controls to be highly responsive to my actions and the combat was intense and fluid. It allowed me to dodge the bullets and enemies with ease, but that doesn't mean that the game is easy by any means. I especially had difficulty on the boss fights, they were pretty intense. The most interesting thing about the map is the fact that you are in a closed square, or sometimes a circular terrain that will rotate from its center.
This was pretty unique and I thought it was really cool. However I did find that it made me dizzy from time to time. Especially with all the bullets being fired everywhere and the shifting terrain. It was a bit too much for someone like me who isn't used to games like this. The visuals for this game are stunning 8 bit pixel art and it all looks very clean.
I love the design aesthetic and think that visually this game is great looking. You can tell what the enemies are, and you can tell what your character is, there is no mistaking the designs of your character or the enemies.
The audio in this game is really good too. All the combat sound effects are present, they sound impactful and are all relevant to the game. They even sound better when using a headset. The music was pretty good too. Overall I'd say that Roto Force is a great 8 bit bullet hell game that will be coming to mobile devices very soon. The combat is fast and intense, and it looks and sounds great too. The game is lots of fun, and while I did get a bit dizzy from time to time, overall the game was a blast to play and I highly recommend it.
