You can't keep a gangsta down: Call of Duty Season Five is here!

It’s been far too long since I’ve talked about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, and with the recent release of season five, far too long since I’ve been this hyped. Sure, I could talk about the fact that Task Force 141 is back after a shocking revelation that Graves is alive, or I could talk about the newly released maps, but who am I kidding? I’m mostly excited about the return of the Dogfather himself, Snoop Dogg.
The operator skin will be released for Modern Warfare II as well as Warzone and comes equipped with three weapon blueprints and a high rider vehicle skin, and it’s not just Snoop. Nicki Minaj and 21 Savage are showing up too. The fact that the Call of Duty franchise has released these skins just in time for the 50th anniversary of hip-hop shows how entrenched it’s become in pop culture. This isn’t the first time Call of Duty has done a crossover. Season 4 notoriously had characters from The Boys TV show. Still, it’s precisely why this series has remained relevant for twenty years and is one of the highest-grossing video game franchises ever.
Alright, I’m geeking out over the skins, but there are plenty of other reasons why I’m excited for season five. I mean, what would Call of Duty be without the boomsticks? The camper in me is looking forward to the .300 Carrack sniper rifle, but the hip-hop fan in me is looking forward to that “Life of Da Party” assault rifle weapon blueprint. Sorry, I couldn’t resist. But with all the new goodies, it's a damn good time to be a Call of Duty fan. See you on the battlefield.
