- I don't understand everything because I don't speak chinese (Screen translator)
- I have not experienced all content (lvl80 so far)
[Main review]
PGR is a ARPG gacha game with Bayonetta like mechanics (QTE, Slow-motion, color orbs).
Coming from around 800h of HI3, I can tell that the combat mechanics are less difficult. You have to manage orbs but you don't use rotation since QTE don't switch characters.
Unlike HI3, which focuses more on speed-running, some bosses/monster are pretty hard to defeat. So it's a better experience than HI3.
PGR is also a gacha and gacha games generally have trash mechanics to milk players. According to my experience :
- Reaching the pity (60 pulls, 40 pulls for dorm) takes around 2-3 months F2P
- My pulls for S-rank characters : 60; 40(dorm); 15; 43;
But PGR has some good features :
- Completing dailies + stamina takes 5-10 mins per day. Not time-consuming which is very positive.
- Maxing characters can be done quickly (you don't feel guilty if you miss one day or two)
- You can farm the best in slot equipment in a short amour of time. The weapon (30 pulls). Very good for me because I play for the competiton.
So, all in all, I really like PGR and think the gacha is much better than HI3. I'm rooting for a global version asap or a english translation for Taiwan server because I don't want to start all over again.
