What’s up, folks!
In this update, we will bring you the new paid hero [Zi Xiao] and new mode [Spiritual Assault]. Besides, there will be two new weapons you can use: [Brick] and [Star Ring]; some new monster scrolls and adjustment to part of scrolls. In addition, we also iterate the gameplay of [Qian Sui].

New Hero: [Zi Xiao]
Introduction:
Zi Xiao is the master of occult scrolls who can obtain them through Tarot. The more excellent scrolls he has, the higher the probability he will have to obtain better [Astroaspect]. [Astroaspects] will build the [Astrohouse], which would determine the DMG of [Falling Star] depending on its purity level.
Besides, Zi Xiao is also able to summon cards, which can track enemies automatically, in different levels to protect himself.
Skills of [Zi Xiao]
Primary Skill: [Falling Star]
Gain [Astrohouse] through obtaining [Astroaspects] randomly until slots are full, causing Stars to fall and deal DMG to enemies within a certain range according to [Astrohouse]. Afterwards, the [Astrohouse] is cleared.
Secondary Skill: [Astroforecast]
Obtain [Astroaspects] randomly and summon 3 cards for protection. Cards can track enemies within a 7m radius automatically and deal 500 DMG for each card.
Exclusive Talent:
[Scroll Divination]: Upgrade the quality of Occult Scrolls in your backpack without changing its effect, or reroll the Occult Scroll to another one of equal or higher quality. Each Occult Scroll can only be upgraded or reset once. Start with 1 reset attempts. For each Ascension obtained, gain 2 upgrade attempts and 1 reset attempt.
[Stellar Recovery]: If [Falling Star] deals no DMG, recover 100% cooldown. (CD: 15s)
[Card Practice]: After shooting 300/800/1600 cards, shooting rate improves to a maximum of 2/4/8 cards at once.
[Concentration]: After upgrading an Ascension to level 2, the chance it appears will increase.
[Star Rearrangement]: After switching stages, optimize the initial chance of drawing [Astroaspects].
Exclusive Blessings:
[Star Compass]: +200% total DMG and +1 use of [Falling Star]. Affected by occult scrolls in the backpack, there is a chance to upgrade [Astrohouse] quality of [Falling Star] by 1 level. Each level of [Falling Star] with [Legendary Astrohouse] increased could obtain extra effect: When [Falling Star] deals 0.75s continuous DMG to a single target, it deals 2400 DMG to enemies within 3.5m.
[Explosive Hand]: When a card hits an enemy, trigger a 5m Explosion, dealing card DMG once to enemies in range. Obtain the same [Astroaspects] as the previous slot through [Astroforecast]. Clear [Astrohouse] and gain Skill DMG for 7s if slots are full. There is a chance to gain a bonus without clearing [Astrohouse]. [Normal Astrohouse]: +80% total DMG. [Rare Astrohouse]: +160% total DMG. [Legendary Astrohouse]: +320% total DMG.
[Functional Deck]: Obtain weapon bonuses for 5s when consuming [Astroaspects]. [Normal Astroaspects]: +5% RoF. [Rare Astroaspects]: +30% Weapon DMG. [Legendary Astroaspects]: +20% Lucky Shot Chance. [Wild Astroaspects]: +0.5x CritX.
New Mode: Spiritual Assault
· Spiritual Assault is a whole new game mode. It will be unlocked when you reach Level 60. You can enter it from main menu. Currently there is a new map – Desert frontier. Welcome, folks.
* In this mode, general Talents are not available except the Exclusive Talents of each Hero. Instead, you have to use [Spirit Concentrator] and [Spiritual Jade].
* There are 7 different shapes of [Spiritual Jade]. Each [Spiritual Jade] offers a unique bonus for you.
* [Spirit Concentrator] is where you place [Spiritual Jades], and make them in effect during the game. You could expand the capacity of [Spirit Concentrator] with Soul Essences.
* Instead of putting all [Spiritual Jades] in [Spirit Concentrator] at once, you have to manage the limited space based on your builds.
*Some [Spiritual Jades] need to be unlocked.
· In Spiritual Assault, players have to survive and fight against constant assault of numerous enemies. When the countdown ends or all monsters are defeated, you will have a rest time. If a monster is defeated before the countdown ends, you will receive additional copper rewards based on the speed of defeating the monster. During the rest time, players receive the Golden Goblet and can obtain enhancements from the Peddler and Craftsman. If copper are sufficient, the Peddler will provide a constant stream of goods, and the Craftsman will generously offer unlimited enhancement opportunities.
· In Stage{5} and Stage{9}, you will encounter Elites. You could obtain the [Spiritual Goblet] once you finish the challenge. It will offer a powerful Spiritual Ascension to you.
*Spiritual Ascension is divided into General and Exclusive one. Ascensions taken in each category increase the odds of getting a Spiritual Ascension related to that specific category. The options can be refreshed by costing Soul Essence.
· Once you finished stage{12}, the Portal that leads to Chaos Realm will open. You have to defeat the terrific boss – Gluttony. Players will get Soul Essence based on their survive time as the reward.
· Weapons, Occult Scrolls, and Achievements cannot be unlocked in Spiritual Assault. Some Occult Scrolls, Ascensions, and Talents will be changed as well in Spiritual Assault. You could check it out at the preparation phase.
· Spiritual Assault requires higher performance of your device. If the frame rate is too low, you could try to lower [Graphic level] or disable Teammate Visual Effects to have better performance. We will keep optimizing it in future updates.
New Boss of Spiritual Assault: [Gluttony]
Over the Northern skyline, a purple aura spread all over the sky. It was supposed to be an auspicious sign, but as the sky became dark, the earth became darker, and the Evil Spirit tormented the continent, people start to realize that it was the source of the ominous disasters. The rumors say the unknown visitor from the Spiritual Realm can devour the whole world and overshadow the Sun, so it was named GLUTTONY. More secrets remain to be found by any late-comers.

Type: Sniper
Description: After a crit hit, a Starlight drops that, when picked up, grants the next attack a crit hit with higher CritX.

Description: Star Ring expands, dealing DMG to enemies along its path.
Skill: Star Ring contract, dealing high DMG to the enemies it hits.

We iterate [Qian Sui] including skills, talents, ascensions, spiritual blessings and some other aspects.
Skill
· [Tidal Aspis]:
Aspis retraction now can trigger both weapon shot DMG and Striking Punch DMG once each.
Talents
· [Unshielded Force] change to [Raging Waves]
Old: The Aspis's retracting attack will also trigger all the effects of Striking Punch.
New: When not shielding, for every 1 use of striking punch, the Tidal Aspis's remaining cooldown reduces by 1s. If the punch hits, +50% DMG for the next [Fierce Charge], up to 3 stacks.
· [Wild Punch]
Old: +30% [Hurtle] Base DMG for every level-up for the weapon you currently hold.
New: + 200 base DMG of [Fierce Charge]. Using striking punch while shielding reduces Dash cooldown by 0.5s.

Effects Adjustments
· [Mighty Stream]
Old: +2/4/6s duration for Tidal Aspis. Level 3 Effect: Recover 1s duration for every attack you block. (Every recovery shortens max duration)
New: +2/4/6s Duration for Tidal Aspis, each use of [Fierce Charge] recovers 0.5/1/1s duration (up to recover 3/6/∞s). For every 1s of Tide Aspis's max duration, +10/15/20% DMG of [Fierce Charge] and [Shockwave]. Level 3 Effect: Recover 1s duration for every attack you block.
· [White Water] change to [Backfire]
Old: Each block reflects a small/decent/huge amount of DMG. Level 3 Effect: Each block will cause 2,000 normal DMG to enemies within 10 meters after retracting the Aspis.
New: Emit [Shockwave] every 1.2/1/0.8s while shielding, dealing DMG equal to [Fierce Charge] to enemies within 7m. 50/75/100% chance to release an additional [Shockwave] on each block. Level 3 Effect: +1% DMG of [Fierce Charge] [Shockwave] for every 1 point of max shield.
· [Unfathomable Ocean]
Old: After retracting the Aspis, +50/100/150% Max shield for 5s. Level 3 Effect: -1s remaining cooldown of Tidal Aspis for every 10 shield you lose during this period.
New: +150/300/450% Base DMG. For every 1m displaced by [Fierce Charge], +20% base DMG for that instance. (Displacement distance calculated at least by 30/50/70% of the dash distance cap)
· [Unbearable Hurtle]
Old: Enemies hit by [Hurtle] deal -30/50/80% DMG and take +30/60/100% DMG for 5s.
New: -20/40/60% DMG taken for enemies hit by [Fierce Charge], +25/50/75% DMG taken (50/100/150% for [Fierce Charge] and [Shockwave]), lasting 5s.
· [Irrepressible Surge]
Old: If an enemy is defeated when holding the Aspis, [Hurtle] will have no Cooldown for the next 2s; if an enemy is defeated within 1.2s after retraction, Tidal Aspis will have no Cooldown for the next 2s.
New: Gain 2 temporary Dash charges while defeat enemies during shielding. If an enemy is defeated within 1.2s after shielding, Tide shield enters a no-cooldown state for 2s.
· [Wave-breaking Blow]
Old: Every 8 stacks of [Fist Sensation] will consume one additional use of Striking Punch upon casting it, and perform an additional punch with 40% DMG (4 additional punches at most). If any of the punches kills an enemy, recover uses consumed.
New: Every 8 stacks of [Fist Sensation] will deal 1 extra Striking Punch with 50% DMG. (Up to 5 extra Punch)
· [Rogue Wave]
Old: Increases stack duration of [Fist Sensation] to 3s. Each stack increases next Striking Punch DMG to +20%. Gain 8 stacks of [Fist Sensation] immediately after using [Hurtle].
New: Each stack of "Fist Sensation" damage bonus increased to 10/15/25%.
· [Dark Tide]
Old: +5/10/15 Striking Punch Capacity. There is a 50/60/70% chance to recover 1/50%/100% use of Striking Punch each time you use it when holding the Aspis.
New: +4/8/12 Striking Punch Capacity. There is a 30/50/70% chance to recover 1 use of Striking Punch each time you use it when holding the Aspis.
· [Wave Rider]
Old: +20/30/40% movement speed while holding the Aspis and for 6/6/8s after retraction. For every +1% movement speed bonus you have, +1/1.5/2% Weapon and Skill DMG.
New: +20/30/40% weapon and Skill DMG, +6/9/12% Movement Speed for 6s (up to 5 stacks) with each Dash.
· [Battle Adrenaline]
Old: Every time an enemy within 10m is killed, +10/20/30% Weapon DMG and +4/6/8% Movement Speed for 8/8/10s. Level 3 Effect: Hitting any enemy also has a 25% chance to gain 1 stack.
New: 10/20/30% chance for shield Swing weapon DMG to crit; +4/6/8% additional critical hit chance and 0.5x critical hit multiplier for each 10 stacks of "Fist Sensation".
· [Concussive Current]
Old: After dealing DMG with Striking Punch, +3/6/9% weapon DMG for 6/6/8s. Level 3 Effect:  +3% Lucky Shot Chance for each stack of [Fist Sensation].
New: +10/15/20% Aspis's Slam DMG per stack, up to 6 stacks, gained from hitting an enemy. If no enemy is hit, all stacks are cleared. Level 3 Effect: If no enemy is hit, stacks -1.
· [Tidal Rhythm]
Old: +40/80/120% Skill DMG when holding the Aspis. +40/80/120% Weapon DMG for 5s after retraction. Level 3 Effect: Each block with Tidal Aspis grants an additional 10% DMG bonus.
New: '+10/20/30% weapon DMG and +4/6/8% movement speed for 8/8/10s (up to 5 stacks) for every 8 stacks of "Fist Sensation" Level 3 Effect: 25% chance to gain 1 stack on weapon hit.
· [Ebb and Flow]
Old: After lifting or retracting the Aspis, your shield starts to recover immediately, and receives +50% shield recovery speed.
New: +2% max shield for each stack of "Fist Sensation". The Tide Aspis will begins to recover at every 30 stacks of "Fist Sensation".

+20/30/40% Weapon DMG per stack, up to 6/8/10 stacks, Gain 1 stack per shot and 1/2/3 stacks per dash. Clears stacks and deducts 5 reserve bullets when shooting at full stacks.

· [Iron Circuit]
When getting injured, excess DMG above Total Max HP will be reduced, and 50% of remaining DMG will be shared with other carriers.
· [Nirvana Force]
When defeated, 25% chance to deal 20% of current Total HP as DMG to players within 5m.
· [Lucky Roulette]
After dealing DMG, change player's copper coin amount by -7 to +3. (CD: 1s)
· [Piercing Bullet]
After dealing DMG, Prevents player from receiving healing for 3s. (CD: 5s)
· [Explosive Magazine]
Deals 10% of the player's current Total HP as DMG to players within 5m with each attack.
Adjustments
· [Flesh and Bones]
Convert all shield/armor to HP and recover 3% Max HP/s. (Decrease 80% → 90% deficiency for elite enemies)
· [Shrine of Recovery]
Optimized the HP recovery mechanism of occult scrolls.
Others
· Players in watching will be revived after other players defeat the Boss of [Hyperborean Jokul]
Now there is a low probability to have enhanced scrolls and weapons in [Peculiar Chest] under Reinforcement level.

· [Greater Evil Exorcised]: Defeat GLUTTONY for the first time.
· [Spiritual Jade Talent]: Unlock 20 Spiritual Jade in [Spiritual Assault].
· [Unwavering Preference]: In solo mode at nightmare difficulty or above, use Zi Xiao to pass all acts (and defeat Pole Monarch) while only picking up Occult Scrolls of the same quality.
Interaction
· [Fierce Charge] of [Qian Sui] now is added as a setting option.
· Optimized the interaction and interface reminder of [Ascension Fusion] for palyers in watching.
· Fixed errors in text of some languages in [Adventure Handbook].
Bug Fixes
· Fixed the issue where the inscription: "50% chance to cause an explosion that deals Corrosion DMG when defeating an enemy." was occurring at an incorrect location.
· Fixed the issue where ammo was consumed improperly.
· Fixed the issue where the effect of [Wolf Gaze] was improper in some stages.
· Fixed the issue where the exclusive inscription of [Wolf Gaze] was triggered improperly under certain circumstances.
· Fixed the issue where the energy of [Octopus Jet] was improper under certain circumstances.

· Fixed an issue where items can not be picked and players may stuck in some places of [Hyperborean Jokul] and [Anxi Desert].
