The real next generation of rally racing is finally almost here

Translate
More than maybe any other single development studio, Codemasters knows rally racing.  They've been pumping out the Colin McRae Rally and Dirt games for many years, and now they're taking over the EA Sports WRC series. This marks a big milestone for both Codemasters—which was purchased by EA in 2020—and the WRC franchise in video game form, which has previously been worked on by French developer Kylotonn to mixed results.
With a focus on higher quality and production values in mind, EA Sports WRC will be the first next-gene only World Rally Championship game, launching on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles. It will also be the first Codemasters-developed racing game to have officially licensed WRC cars since waaaay back in 2002. you won't be stuck just driving the standard cars though; WRC will include the ability to put together the rally car of your dreams in the new Builder Mode.
You can find out more details about WRC in the gameplay deep dive trailer above. The game launches on November 2, 2023, and will include full cross-play between consoles and PC (including cross-play between Steam and the Epic Games Store). One of TapTap's editors will be testing it out and sharing our impressions before launch, so stay tuned for those!
