The game has an equal balance of pros and cons. Specifically, it lacks enjoyment when played alone but becomes enjoyable when played with a global community of players. It is important to note that I do not enjoy sports games. However, when anime characters are incorporated and the game takes on a more arcade-style with visually appealing elements, it tends to draw my interest despite my lack of interest.
Graphics & Presentation
The opinion varies depending on whether you are playing the Campaign mode exclusively or engaging in Player versus Player (PvP) matches. I strongly disliked the solo gameplay due to its sleep inducing music, lackluster experience and absence of a sense of accomplishment. Conversely, the thrill and enjoyment derived from outperforming other players, consistently scoring goals, intercepting passes from the opposing team's goalie, and executing consecutive shots felt incredibly empowering.
Visual aspects are good, except in the case of single player mode. There are no differences in gameplay mechanics between Player versus Player (PvP) and Solo, except for the visual aspect of how the field is displayed. Personally, I like the third person perspective in PvP since it creates a more intimate experience for the player.
In my opinion, the visual aesthetics of the game surpass those of EA Sports Tactical, which focuses more on realism and well... Tactics. A feature that doesn't appeal to me. I am completely uninformed about any individual or any sport, hence I lack understanding and interest in the concept.
Gameplay
It is a matter of personal preference whether you refer to the sport as football or soccer. Some individuals become deeply entangled and furious regarding the entire topic. You execute a forceful kick and skillfully pass the ball.
The gameplay is quite simple, allowing players to acquire formidable characters using the Gacha system. In my case, I was fortunate enough to obtain one of the highly sought-after SSR characters, who excels as a midfielder. Notwithstanding my diligent attempts, I regrettably failed to achieve a goal throughout my PvP encounters, and I remain confused as to the underlying cause. It is plausible that the character's proficiency in scoring goals is subpar, with a greater emphasis on collaborative team dynamics. The gameplay was accessible, but it is reasonable to expect that as time progresses, one would need to devise tactics to effectively utilize cooperative and synergistic combinations with allies and friends.
Conclusion
My opinion regarding sports games remains unchanged. However, it seems that this specific sport is slowly reaching the standard of the BlueLock that I have eagerly desire. If you possess an inclination towards comprehending the intricacies of midfielders, outfielders, team dynamics, and related concepts, it is difficult for me to fathom how you might harbor any aversion towards this game. I find it appealing due to its anime nature, whereas you may be able to appreciate its intricate nuances.
