I've been so busy lately...

Illo everyone! Long time no talk! I hope you're all doing great and keeping yourselves warm, coz I dunno what the temperature is where you all live, but here, it's getting pretty cold! 🥶 I wear a "coat" all year round, so fortunately for me, cold days don't bother that much. Warm days, on the other hand, are a completely different story...
Anyway! I've been so busy playing all those new games that recently came out, along with a bunch of other games, that I haven't had much time to write stuff on here.
👾🎮Games I've played these last few weeks🎮👾
Super Mario RPG
SMRPG was soooo freakin' good! They call it a "remake", but in my opinion, it was more like a remaster with some small additions.
The only thing that bothered me is that they, once again, changed the name of some characters. For example, they changed Mack's name to.... Claymoreton or something close to that. They really need to stop doing that bullshirt! It's infuriating!
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince
So far, I only tried the demo but I can tell you that, as soon as this game becomes available on Steam, I'm buying it! I really love how we can make not only entirely new monsters, but also new abilities by fusing monsters together. The only thing that makes me sad is that my favorite monster, the little humanoid magicians, are not catchable in this game. At least that's what I've read on the internet. I'll see whether this is true or not when I'll buy the game... I really hope it'll come to Steam soon!
Nights of Azure 1 & 2
These two games are somewhat old (both were released in 2017 on Steam) but I've been craving some beat 'em all games recently...
I already cleared all the "warriors" games available on Steam (Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, Warriors Orochi), along with some other games like Warriors All Stars, Senran Kagura, Neptunia, etc. so I decided to do a search on google and that's when I found these 2 games.
I finished the 1st game a few days ago and I started the 2nd game earlier today. I had a blast playing the first NoA and so far, the second game is fun too, but I dunno if I'm gonna play it all the way to the end.
In one of the tutorials, it was written that I can get a game over simply from playing for too long. The explanation was kinda vague, so I dunno what they meant exactly, but the first thing that came to mind was a game called The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask on the Nintendo 64. In that game, if you took too long, the moon would literally fall on you and kill the whole world, resulting in a game over. I'm someone who likes to take his time exploring every nook and crany of a game world to find hidden goodies. I also love to level up my characters. Discovering what kind of abilities and skills my characters can learn is so much fun! Speed running games is not my thing.
RetroArch
The other games I played were all old games like Summon Night: Swordcraft Story, Golden Sun, Shining Soul and Magical Vacation on the Gameboy Advance.
Magical Starsign and Luminous Arc on the old Nintendo DS.
Radiata Stories, Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga and Dawn of Mana on the PS2.
Oh yeah! That reminds me...
Interesting games coming out in 2024
With all the games that disappointed me this year, I was planning once and for all on giving up on video games if next year's Persona 3 Reload was no good, but after seeing some ads on social media, I might wait a bit longer before doing that...
Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate
From what I've read, this is gonna be a complete remake of an old side-scrolling pixel ARPG called Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds. This new version of the game is supposedly gonna be made in UE5.
Dunno if it's gonna be any good, but I used to play the original version on PSP years ago and I had soooooo much fun!
Visions of Mana
After the recent failure that is Echoes of Mana, I was certain that the Mana series was as good as dead, but it seems that I was wrong! Square Enix announced that they're currently working on a new game called Visions of Mana.
I've been a huge fan of the Mana games for as long as I can remember, and I've played every single game (with the exception of Rise of Mana, of course, since that was a JP-only mobile game that died a looong time ago) so I should have been over the moon when I saw these news, but surprisingly enough, my reaction was "...cool." and that's it. I can't say for sure, since even I don't know why I had such a poor reaction, but it might be because I'm worried of the quality of this new entry in the series. I'm worried that It'll disappoint me like Echoes of Mana and all these new games I bought this year.
I lost interest in Final Fantasy when I played FFXIII. The Spirits in FF games are supposed to be powerful, dignified and proud beings, not some kind of tool for the MC to use whenever they feel like it.
I lost interest in Tales of games when they suddenly closed the EN version of Tales of the Rays without giving us an explanation, right after I was FINALLY able to assemble my dream team.
I lost interest in PkMn games not long after I started playing PkMn Scarlet. I'm sick and tired of playing the same game since PkMn Blue. Choose either a grass, water or fire PkMn. Meet and fight your rival. Meet and fight Team (name here) for the first time. Catch and level up some PkMns. Beat the 8 gym leaders and obtain their badges while beating your rival from time to time. Level up some more and go beat up whoever's in charge of Team (name here). Level up again and go fight the Elite 5 (A.K.A. the elite 4 + your rival). Catch each and every 'mon to complete your PkDex. Wait until the next game comes out. Rinse and repeat. The mainline games have been like that for what? 25 years? Of course, some games were different, but those are incredibly rare. If I remember correctly, there was something like 2 games that didn't follow what I wrote above. ...I don't wanna lose interest in yet another series that I love, so please Square Enix! PLEASE!!! Make it a good game this time! 🙏
