A Pocket-Sized 3D Sonic Adventure! | Sonic Dream Team Review!
Sonic is one of those franchises that can’t catch a break sometimes. Despite being a console powerhouse in the 90’s, rivaling and competing against the likes of Super Mario evenly, Sonic and his games don’t really carry the same weight they once did. Sonic couldn’t make the transition to 3D as gracefully as Mario had.
Sonic Dream Team is a 3D platformer that throws Sonic and his friends into a dream world cooked up by the nefarious Dr. Eggman.
Movements are fast and fluid, and the game gives players the adequate tools to keep up with Sonic and Co. Despite having incredibly simple controls and UI, Sonic Dream Team plays smoothly, letting you go fast with very little hiccups.
Also, each level is packed with extra missions and side content that players can complete for goodies and unlockables. Despite being a mobile game, Sonic Dream Team gives you a reason to WANT to play and replay levels.
Sonic Dream Team is carried by its good level design, player freedom, and tight controls, turning this albeit short experience into a memorable one.
