Tried to like this one, i really did. The concept was very interesting and appealed to me. Managing a nation, dealing with the intricacies of politics and rivalry, juggling between internal and external difficulties while struggling to deal with the realities of a war.
The challenges that come with a position of power, the players approach and orientation, all these are done fairly well. The problem for me is that the storyline was very linear and it felt like certain play styles were less incentivised. Your actions don't really feel meaningful enough to me, and the game leaves a lot to be desired as the scenarios are limited.
3.5/5, needs more in-depth expansions and variance, more things to do, more player agency.
