Before you try this, here is my experience..
1.0, the original version
The coolest part was you could choose your faction from the start and within that region you'll be somewhere random. This really gave you the conquest vibes of taking over Middle Earth OR destroying the ring.
2.0, an updated version
Soz they've taken away the choice of region and give you a choice of faction design. (What your castle , keep, base will look like.) Not only that but you're teleported randomly on the map.
A lot of other strategy 4k games are like this but LOTR was different and the fans understood why. I'm not sure whose bright idea it was to change this little bit. It throws off the entire game.
1.0-2.0 The packs, packages , and whaling.
You need a special coin for commanders which cost 400 in game currency that we'll call gems.
Sometimes you can pull once for 200 gems in the Gacha system.
It cost 400 gems for one coin when you need 5 for a 5 pull resulting in 2,000 gems when its hard enough for F2P to save up thr 400 after thr first leveling freebies.
Be prepared to spend in this game if you want to actually conquest. This has never been a free to play friendly strategy.
The story campaign 1.0-2.0
1.0 story was dreadfully boring where the story itself isn't worth reading.
2.0, Remarkably for the better, it's been changed to where all you're doing is taking over land until you reach the opponent instead of playing chess and losing due to the lack of commander energy.
I really prefer the original
