Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree trailer has arrived, expansion launching June 21
After years of waiting, Elden Ring is finally getting new content. Today Bandai Namco revealed the first full trailer for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, the major downloadable content pack for FromSoftware's hit 2022 action RPG. Watch it for yourself above.
In addition to the trailer, Bandai Namco also announced a release date. Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree will launch on June 21, 2024 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and S.
The DLC—which Bandai Namco is referring to as an "expansion," suggesting it'll be pretty massive—is available for preorder now in multiple forms. The standard edition will cost $39.99, while a premium edition that includes a digital artbook and soundtrack will run $49.99. For true Souls fanatics, you may want to consider grabbing the Collectors Edition, a physical purchase that includes a code to download the expansion, a physical art book, and a statue of Messmer the Impaler, a character from the new content, all for the tiny price of $249.99. Gulp.
No matter which edition you spring for, if you preorder Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree you'll receive a new in-game gesture/emote as a reward. Stay tuned for more details on the Elden Ring expansion as soon as we have them!
