Tank Practice: RUBY: 001 [T3 Arena]
Here is some of my Ruby gameplay. I’ve been trying to incorporate Ruby more and more into my tank rotation. I’m pretty certain I’m going to be maining Fade, Ruby, and Tigris at this point. My Ruby understanding is pretty solid. There are a few things I’ve noticed with my gameplay that need some improvement. But also I need to fully max out Ruby as well to get full potential of the hero.
AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT:
Movement - Ruby utilization of her moving shield is key to get full utilization of her kit. There were moments where I could have incorporated the shield a little more into my 1v1 engagements.
Risky Plays are Simply that - High risk, high reward is sometimes not worth it. Taking wild flank tank plays are not always optimal especially when you’re (at the moment) the only tank in play. Try to stay objective focused and let the DPS, well, DPS.
Not Reading the Player Counter - if I would have read the Player Counter I would have known that Damion was coming out of spawn so that play wasn’t the most optimal.
AREAS I DID WELL:
Stun to Close Gaps - utilizing Stuns to close gaps on enemies is key. Because of Rubys spread, distance is still decent, but her bread and butter is right in the opponents face. Instead of hitting an opponent with one or two cards, they are catching the entire deck to the head.
Headshots Are Key - With my (unfortunately not maxed out) Ruby, her cards individually hit for 495 damage, with her single burst sending out three cards with a total of 1500 damage per shot, it’s paramount that you try to get close and land all three projectiles. I was able to clean up a lot of enemies because of her damage output.
Stunning for Someone Else’s Kill - I sometimes (if my 1v1 engagement is through) try to stun other opponents to assist my teammates with their kills. It’s important to keep and eye out for engagements going south for your teammates.
