Interesting , great character designs and fun game loop and an engaging story. I play casually about 15-30 min a day and find it very f2p friendly, although I have since spent money just FYI. I play on a zfold 3 and it runs great! I do also play PGR and tend to switch back and forth. Here are some differences between PGR and Aether: PGR artstyle and story are more gritty and cyber-esk, fight mechanics differ with PGR having a base attack with a match 3 mechanic and you can switch between characters; Aether has base attack and different special attack buttons which are used differently for each character and you cannot switch between character, instead your teammates fight alongside you.
All in all I highly recommend this game. Loses 1 star for them expanding on some features I don't necessarily care for (like the dorm mechanic) and would've rather hoped they focused all efforts on the core game
