you clearly haven't seen the "deep" side of the SEA gaming scene. game devs over here still think Romance of the Three Kingdoms or any wuxia-related setting are hot shit, and they have been re-releasing the Diablo-knock off garbages of those settings for the past two decades or so, and while the world has CSGO, these fuckers still praise Crossfire with its old ass graphics and gameplay as the pinnacle of "competitive shooters".
