Not a Real Woman? Are Attractive Female Characters Unrealistic?

The Main Character: Eve
The upcoming action game, Stellar Blade, set to launch on April 26, has stirred controversy due to its main character, Eve. Let’s take a look at the main character, Eve.
She is portrayed as attractive and dresses in revealing clothing. While some players concentrate on the game's quality and soundtrack, others criticize Eve's design, sparking debates about character representation in gaming. This controversy prompts discussions about evolving views on beauty in gaming.
IGN France Comments on Stellar Blade
IGN, a top game journalism site, criticized the developers of Stellar Blade for having an attractive main character without holding back in their comments.
Here's what they said:
A Body based on a real woman's scan
The review barely touched on gameplay and resorted to personal attacks on the developers. Interestingly, Eve's body is based on a real woman's scan.

And if IGN'd critiqued Eve's character compared to Bayonetta or 2B, it might've been more constructive. Instead, they focused on her appearance.
Eve and Aloy in Horizon series
Aloy from the Horizon series is an example of a character who looks average but is still appealing. Some find her attractive in certain shots, and describing her as "fat and ugly" is not fair.
Eve from Stellar Blade is beautiful and has an anime-like face, which is perfectly fine. Having both designs can attract different audiences, but ultimately, the game's quality is what matters most to us.
While controversy can be entertaining, who else prioritizes the game's quality over character design?

I believe that Eve is 5× times more beautiful than Cereza (Bayonetta) and 2B (Nier) combined, the comparison they made is the actual bland one. Not very often do we get Action RPGs for macro platforms like PS, PC and Xbox which are developed in Korea, but this one managed to stand out among ARPG fans within a short time. And one of the reasons for it's success is purely the design of our female protagonist Eve herself, I have yet to find one male friend or user on the internet who played this game calling out her design to be "bland" like how IGN stated it. This is the norm in East Asia, their worldview of an attractive woman is that of someone having slim physique. IGN aka. Imagine Games' Network is a gaming review website that was founded in San Francisco. Just because in the west they have their different perspective of an attractive woman, it does not give them the right to call out the artwork of a female character in a game that is developed in Korea. In fact, Japan, Korea and China have been making most of their female game characters this way since time immemorial. It's just another cheap "body positivity" political tactic from IGN to get their hands dirty on Stellar Blade just to appease to the left wing group. Shame is on them. Their poor remark even offends me in real life ~

here is what I believe: Every gaming company can do whatever they want with their character, as its said its fiction therefore a idea owned by someone or a group, and therefore it can be modified to the liking of the owner, that's it, if shift up wants her model to look realistic and they used a real Korean model then that's their Choice, and as its said in games quality and enjoyment is makes a game good and not how beautiful the characters are unless it's something relative to the lore or needed to advance the story.

This game throws away like 10 years of western planning, cohersion, media coordination, peer pressure, gaslighting and censorship According to games radar Stellar Blade director "grew up too poor to afford" a PS1, but when he finally got one in college, Ridge Racer and Final Fantasy inspired him to make games. You can feel that raw and free honest desire to bring true spiritual succersors to the good days when games were not about politics but the raw energies , feelings, input, outcome, frenzy, its quality is that of the triple A title, so refreshing to see~

I 100% agree. Imagine some stranger harping at you nonstop in your own home about a topic you don't even want to engage in... that's how it's beginning to feel.
