preliminary first day experience review subject to change:
- really poorly optimized
- excessive battery drain
- shallow and unengaging story (so far)
- weird visual bugs and unrefined camera settings
- fun and skillful combat with depth
- gorgeous scenery and cutscenes
- fun exploration potential (due to poor optimization it's not very fun unfortunately)
- pretty character designs
Wuthering Waves was much anticipated by, especially the ARPG, gacha community but it's launch unfortunately does not impress. this game shows great potential to become a fun experience for gacha players but is bottlenecked by it's seemingly rushed release. the game in it's current state is clearly not release ready and in dire need of optimization and some story writing tweaks to reach a passable level. having said that the combat of Wuthering Waves is unmatched in terms of depth and fluidity for it's category and is easily one of the most fun things to experience in the genre. knowing kuros track record they're likely going to improve upon the mentioned points and will deliver us a fully realized ARPG that many will love to play in due time. until then 2/5 stars
