It was played like retro arcade games. It's an old game and its interface can't be fully adapted to the big screen.
Initially, I thought it was a level-based arcade game, but you actually need to keep beating up robots in the area. You'll gain experience and upgrade after each round of the game by killing enemies, which will improve your character's stats to face stronger enemies later.
It's a pretty generic game, but the control optimization is really terrible. Even though I tried clicking instead of swiping as much as I could, I hardly shoot upward the enemies in the air. As well as these things, you can collect stars to unlock more skills or characters. Each character has their own play style, which makes the whole game more interesting.
