"Blade & Soul 2" Will be Released in the First Quarter of Next Year According to NCsoft
South Korean video game developer and publisher NCsoft held a conference call to announce its third-quarter results and annual results on November 16th. It also introduced its plan for the future.
Below is its plan for anticipated games like Blade & Soul 2 and Aion 2.
Q. Do you think the release schedule of Aion 2 will be delayed to next year?
- Aion 2 is also being developed as a target for next year. If Blade & Soul 2 is delayed even more, Aion 2 may also be delayed, but Aion 2 will be in the second half as Blade & Soul 2 is being prepared for the first quarter.
Q. It seems that Project TL, Aion 2, and Blade & Soul 2 are also expected to be released next year. Is it possible strategically to release three games a year? If Blade & Soul 2 is sure to be released in the first quarter of next year, what kind of game do you think the rest of the game will be?
- As we entered the mobile era, the terms of launching new titles decreased significantly. The launch term continues to change closely. Since there are various projects currently being prepared and they will aggressively enter the global market, the point of time when many projects other than the ones mentioned now will be connected to commercialization will continue to be tight. There will be more in the years to come next year. Since it will cover a variety of platforms, and there will be a variety of games that will cover both domestic and overseas, more games will be released at the same time in the future. You may not be used to it, but this will become a reality. The recruitment of MMO games is completed in about 3 months. All three games are individual games with different strategies, so multiple games can be released in a short period of time.
