Blastomancer: The Puzzle Game Review—A Perplexing Game That’s Not Worth the Candle

As the festive season begins to draw to an end, my mum has already had her fill of my presence as she keeps hurling hints at me all day long.
Well, it so seems that I have overstayed my welcome at my parents'.
Feigning pity, I was so close to accomplishing my plan of dog-napping Axel back to mine for the sake of easing my heavy heart.
Setting my heart on perfecting my plan, I made my way back to my place by my lonesome. Under the surge of melancholy and loneliness, I immediately grab my trusty smartphone and throw myself into the gaming world to release the suppressed emotions.
That is how I found myself in the wacky world of Blastomancy.
Made in ZMVtest, using a 2D stickman art style, it at first looks like so many other casual games that are released every day.
However, the premise here is idiotically simple. For one to become the greatest blastomancer there ever was, you'd have to vanquish all the invading Distortians. In other words, all you have to do is throw a certain number of bombs in the correct sequence to blast away all obstacles. Yes, that's it, and I am not joking with you!
As you progress through the levels, you'll find an assortment of bombs with varying ranges (much like Bomberman) and colours gradually appearing in your inventory. Not only that, but you'll also be able to get hold of some special bombs that may let you undo a move or even give you a hint if you're lucky, that is.
I, for one, initially believed that anyone could accomplish anything as long as they possessed a sharp mind and patience. Even if its austere designs do not help
With that being said, I find myself still stuck on the 8th level of the 2nd world for a good while. (╥﹏╥ ) Good Lord, someone help me!
On the other hand, what I found detrimental to my Blastomancer experience would be the sudden surge in difficulty; even its austere design does not make up for it either. Sure, I may be able to watch ads and acquire more hint bombs, but it gets far too infuriating after a while. With the rate that I've been pulling my hair, I sure hope that I won't be turning bald anytime soon!
Anyway, if you happen to be on the lookout for a fun little diversion or something to challenge your brain, buckle up and have a thrill here tossing explosives.💣💥

Thanks for taking the time to write the review Islandor, it's a great source for honest information and things I can improve in the game. Have you tried lowering the difficulty to "Easy"? That should make things smoother. There are also video walkthroughs online and I'm always happy to help via the game's social channels. Cheers!
