Moonshades – Game Review Moonshades is a straight throwback to classic dungeon RPGs—slow, grid-based, and focused on exploration over action. You move through dungeons in a first-person view, tile by tile, solving puzzles, fighting enemies, and uncovering secrets. It feels very old-school, almost like those early PC dungeon crawlers. The strongest part is exploration. There are hidden paths, secret rooms, and lots of small details that reward players who pay attention. It doesn’t rush you—you take your time and figure things out step by step. Combat is simple but strategic. It’s not flashy; you attack, block, and manage resources carefully. It’s more about planning than reflexes. There’s also a decent progression system with skills, items, and upgrades, which gives you a reason to keep going deeper into the dungeon. The atmosphere works well too. Dark environments, minimal music, and that isolated dungeon feeling make it immersive in its own way. Now the downsides—

Honestly this game unlocked my deepest and oldest memories about when I was 7, playing dungeon games like this This was challenging and addictive which keeps me guessing what the next door is filled with and what going to happen in next floor Didn't get me bored, such classic like this is really worth to play and not die out !!

LThe truth is that the controls are uncomfortable for me, but it's a good dungeon game.

I really enjoy this game. It wasn't the damage trade gameplay I was expecting, it can be at times but when you learn the dance of most enemies you can dodge their attacks. I noticed some issues like some spells not going through open doorways so when you get the Wind and Fireball spells wait till the enemy has crossed the doorway and then blast them. I get that limited chest space exists as a way to monetize the game but sometimes it's really irritating to come back from a hard dungeon with an inventory full of goodies only to have nowhere to place them, especially when the game gives you a lot of resources. It's manageable, I guess, and you can buy more slots with currency won in-game so get grinding.

If any game is close to a Skyrim like dungeon crawler game this game is definitely it This game lets you fight different various enemies different areas to explore nice enemy respawn system so you're never going to have a empty dungeon and one of the best dungeon caller games on mobile yet especially when it's old school and has the best graphics and effects and combat system 👍 Pros: wonderful combat system
