Sword of the Vagrant (PC/PS/Xbox/NS)

Hey there, thanks for tapping over to take a look at my review of OTK Games 'The vagrant' a 2D Hack & Slash. Vamillion. Vivian Vamillion This title -really- doesn't really waste time throwing players into the thick of the plot- as our namesake Vagrant's quest to find her family basically goes off the rails within the span of an afternoon. Seriously, she goes from shipwrecked, to 'survivor of a slaughtered city', to 'pressganged into service by the belt-clad witch holborn.

Sword of the Vagrant may be one of my most pleasant surprises of the year. This beautiful game apes the look and feel of Vanillaware’s underrated Muramasa: The Demon Blade, but actually pulls it off with tight, satisfying combat and fulfilling exploration of a strange fantasy world. THE STORY In Sword of the Vagrant, players step into the boots of Vivian, a scantily clad mercenary who has journeyed to the dangerous island of Mythrilia on a quest to find her family. Before long, Vivian is tossed into the middle of political strife and worldwide conflict, as she finds herself taking on quests for shady characters and trying to dodge the machinations of a corrupt academy of battlemages.

I've played this game on steam several years ago. The game requires at least 7 hours to pass, if you want to complete all the achievements, get full ending and explore all maps, it probably need more than 30 hours,. the game is good, the artwork is great as if in the oil painting, but the plot makes me very difficult to play. It‘s so sad that good people do not have a good ending. The game strikes feel unexpectedly good personally, monster design is also quite interesting, but the flying monster is really annoying to me.
