1Bit Marcos

It took me several tries to fully understand the concept of the game because of its lack of instructions. I might say that it was really challenging and you need to strategize your moves because one wrong move will get you to the starting line again. The graphics are great and it shows that it was really built for this category. The game is simple but needs a lot of concentration too. In this game, you will collect coins in a maze-like setup but the maze is not fully visible on a mobile size screen. You'll need to swipe left and right to maximize the view.

I have never played a game like 1Bit Marcos. This game is extremely challenging for me. It took me a good few minutes to understand how it plays. The visuals are pixel-based but the audio and the gameplay are retro vibes. The in-game sound is missing or lacking thereof. The game is simple, Marcos cannot jump, run or hide but he can shoot and cling to where your guide arrow will show you. The red things are a no-go. You cannot touch them or you have to return to the starting place.

1Bit Marcos is a simple game that reminds me of another 1 bit game I played recently, Tokki. However Tokki was a premium game, and this one is free. While both are pretty tough, 1bit Marcos is just a little bit easier. Gameplay wise 1Bit Marcos has you throwing yourself at walls and sticking to them in order to collect the various tokens scattered across each level. Interestingly you don't need to collect all the tokens in order to complete a level, and you aren't graded either by how many you have picked up. Which I thought was kind of weird, What's the point of even collecting these tokens if it doesn't matter in the long run.

1Bit Marcos, another retro game that also reminds me of Tokki, but it's free. However 1Bit Marcos isn't as unforgiving. You must launch yourself from wall to wall, sticking to the safe walls in order to gather all the tokens you see, all while avoiding the red blocks. Red blocks will kill you instantly so watch out for those. This game proves yet again that you can have a challenging game and it be not that annoying. This game will frustrate you, but not to the point where you'll want to quit straight away. Honestly this game is a lot of fun. Give it a try! It's free after all!

This pixel game is great for passing time. It's easy to understand and the levels get progressively harder as you progress. Highly recommend it!
