Moncage is more of a puzzle game based on perspective, in which moving your posture or changing your view might transform the world in front of you into something completely different.
The game is all about reframing your perspectives and ideas until you understand that with a little ingenuity and trial and error, you can turn those shadows and stony dead-ends into something new. Something that is a little more upbeat.
As much as I admire the developers' use of graphics rather than writing to communicate the story, the fragmented storytelling made it more difficult to follow what was going on. It wasn't immediately evident how the cube's photos and scenarios related to one another.
As you discover more about the tale, the game grows increasingly complex. Rotations will need to include more than two scenes, and timing will be crucial, such as catching an important object before it falls into the next scene.
Even if the player relies on the robust hint system for assistance, the solutions are frequently brilliant and make the player feel smart. The expanding tale relates to the seemingly random riddles in a wonderful surprise, however, the story could be more impactful.
Overall, I'd say Moncage is a pretty relaxing and enjoyable game to play. It's certainly a novel approach to combining a puzzle, a story, and excellent graphic design in a game. However, this game is not for everyone because it necessitates a high level of expertise in completing extremely difficult puzzles. I still give it 4-stars since I thoroughly enjoyed it. As a puzzle game aficionado, this game truly appealed to me.
