Much like the original Battle Cats game, Battle Cats Quest is a wacky and often hilarious mobile game that is easy to understand and fun to play. I decided to take a look at the game and try it out myself, as I was a huge fan of the original.
First off, this is not like the original game, as it is more of a marble/pinball game of sorts where players fling their cat balls toward enemy animal balls and push them off the stage. Yeah, it's basically just rolling your cats and bumping the enemies off a cliff. However, players have to be mindful of the direction or strength of their roll else they accidentally roll their cats off the stage without actually hitting anything.
As players progress through a stage, they will encounter a variety of enemies from small birds and turtles to pandas to frigging elephants. Each enemy also has its own quirks, such as pufferfish, bears, and turtles.
While it is simple, I did encounter a few bugs, such as the game freezing from time to time. This can be a bit frustrating when they happen in the middle of a match. But this is still a new game at the time of writing, so I hope they can iron out a few kinks.
Overall, Battle Cats Quest is a fun and hilarious game that I found quite entertaining. I like the original better to be honest, but I also had fun with this one.
