A furry menace that knows how to write #PlayerEncounters
We first noticed Dusk from a post he wrote for T3 Arena. He nominated the game as the #MostVisuallyStunningGame and presented all of us with a nice and detailed review, under the name Delta, the Wolf. His review post received quite a few shout-outs and stood out in our #TapTapExplorerS2 event, and later he kindly said yes to our interview request, to talk a bit about him and gaming.
Our voice-chat interview with Dusk started at 21:30 US time. He sounded a bit nervous at the very beginning but soon got himself into the groove after some warm-up. Currently 19 years old, Dusk is still enjoying his high school days while getting ready for college. When asked to use one word or phrase to describe himself, Dusk adopted the word "idiot" and explained that he’s a bit careless with things in real life. Being an ordinary 19-year-old, Dusk is quite into rock & roll and tags himself as a Heavy Metal enthusiast. He now keeps a black cat with his family, and at the time of the interview, she was quietly lying on the bed beside him.
Dusk started to play games at the age of 11. He attributed the origin of his passion for games to the active gaming communities he joined. "I played mobile games at that time, mostly strategy games. I love to join in the discussion with other players in the communities." Later, he started to play PC games with his laptop and now gaming has become an inseparable part of his life. He picked Fallout Tactics and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim as his favorites and also shared some screenshots of his recently played mobile games with us. And another fun fact about Dusk: his favorite gaming YouTuber is CaptainSauce!
Outside of gaming, Dusk spent quite some time in creative writing and graphic design. He posts game reviews and his random thoughts on different platforms, including TapTap. And interesting enough, he puts "That New English furry menace that knows how to 'write' " in his TapTap profile description. In terms of graphic design, Dusk revealed that he is learning it by himself and considers choosing it as his path of development in college. Out of curiosity, I asked whether he dreams of becoming a graphic designer in the gaming industry, and the answer is positive. "I don’t really have a specific game genre that I would like to work on in the future. Any games are possible," he said.
Like in the old days, Dusk is now still quite active in various communities. Maybe the only thing that has changed is that he starts to produce his own content and becomes more willing to share. He even has his own Discord channel for his followers to chat around. He frequently posts his artworks (a lot of them are furry-related) and gameplay videos on his YouTube channel, and is a proficient game reviewer here on TapTap.
While looking forward to more of his wonderful game reviews, we are also eagerly waiting for a game with the graphic designer’s name Dusk in it.
