Busty anime ladies can't salvage this mediocre game. Even as someone who enjoys merge games and tower defense games, I rolled my eyes when I saw how Merge Goddess follows the exact same formula as every other one of these.
If it could pull that formula off, it would at least be competent, but no such luck. The waifu-wannabes who serve as this game's version of "towers" are hard to tell apart from the pulled-back camera angle that matches are played on. I appreciated that I was able to unlock a lot of different "tower" types relatively quickly, but the strategy here felt paper-thin.
Worst of all, though? Merge Goddess is straight up unfinished. Two of the game modes on the main menu just state, "Coming Soon," and when I tried checking out the two battle passes on offer with the game, I was hit with an error both times. Thanks for saving me from wasting money, I guess!
To top it all off, barely anyone seems to be playing, and this is a game where progression requires facing off against others. If you do check this out, be prepared to sit in queue as the game looks for an opponent for long stretches. Me, I'll be moving on to something else, thanks.
