Over the course of 2023, following my descent into the Gacha genre, I've come to the realization that the MMO scene - both the community, and studios - have changed drastically since I started content creation.

After having played recent releases like Tower of Fantasy, Noah's Heart, Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, The Day Before, Perfect New World, Tarisland, Crystal of Atlan, Dragon Nest 2, Revelation Mobile, Blade & Soul 2.. I've noticed there has been a significant shift over what new MMOs.. are.

They're not games like Blade & Soul or Black Desert Online. Not games like Rift or Aion. They're games like Genshin Impact. And that's because Genshin Impact has.. had a significant.. impact.. on the gaming genre as a whole. Due to that influence, what many current generation MMO players perceive to be the perfect MMO are very different to what I had envisioned the perfect MMO to be a mere few years ago.

honestly couldn't agree more , majority modern mmo's may great world and character designs and is epic fight scenes but fan get lonely fast when you are always by yourself not having a friend or being able to make new friends online

I fully agree coming from the Wow scene myself actually my first Mmo to me was Dungeon fighter online even though not eveyones favorite thing you could still feel as if it was a Mmo type of game you could at least just jump in with strangers to Dungeons and then talk to them after and make friends even though I like Genshin also it's definitely to me not an MMO
